The Fort William Henry Horn by Kevin Hart

Titled:             The Fort William Henry Horn
Time period:   French & Indian War
Horn length:   Overall 13" inches
Throat:            4 inches stained black that starts with a 2 inch round throat interrupted with two wedding  bands then finished with a 2" inch barley twist tip 
Horn Peg:       Turned deer antler left in the white
Worn:             Left side
Body:             Stained yellow with a bit of black for a dark aged appearance
Inscriptions:    Lake George/Fort William Henry/Made at Ft. William Henry 1756
                       Area left for owner’s name
                       Maker’s Mark on back/bottom
Butt plug:       Lathe turned Pine stained black 2" inches in diameter
Strap Finial:   Turned deer antler left in the white
Carvings:       Layout of Fort William Henry with barracks, armory, officers quarters, & flag
                      Sun/Moon & Stars
                      Cartouche for owner’s name framed by bushes & flowers
                      Hunter shooting at birds
                      Rabbit sitting on maker’s mark smoking a pipe and blowing smoke rings
                      Parked canon with flags & drummer boy
                      Seal of Sir William Johnson
                      Lake George with anchored ship
                      Compass arrow pointing North
