"Headland" by Thomas Curran

"Headland" a copper plate hand engraving by Tom Curran, harks back to an era of exploration and great fear of the unknown. Predatory sea monsters prowled the seas, hoping for an occasional sailor snack, or a lovely shipwreck. The actual copper plates were engraved back in the cites of Europe, based on verbal or written description and sketches of the navigator.

Needless to say, there were certain liberties taken by the engraver....
