Norbert Kohlruss Quilled Moccasins

Late 1800s Great Plains moccasins.... elk sinew quilled on braintanned buckskin.... dyed and natural porcupine quills.... hand scraped rawhide soles, antique cloth binding on cuffs.

  1. Great mocs. Same design as a worn by Sitting Bear, a Hidatsa chief, 1915 and an older Mandan pair.
